It wasn’t long ago that I was a poor college student living in a one bedroom apartment in Baltimore City. I remember the days waking up trying to figure out how to afford my next meal and where my life was going. Between student loans, rent, and a car payment – I didn’t have a lot of support or guidance. Most of my friends and even family members were negative about entrepreneurship.
I started doing insurance sales for Aflac and also worked as a grocery store bagger. I bounced around from a few jobs. I was hired and fired a few times. Partying on the weekends with my friends and doing drugs was really the only life I knew. I decided to make a decision to impact the rest of my life. I started my own business in 2009 and committed to changing my life. We all get sick and tired of being sick and tired, right?
My journey in Network Marketing wasn’t easy. Any top income earner that tells you it was easy is lying to you. We all struggle to get to the top, but when we do, it’s one of the most rewarding things!
After trial and error, ups and downs, successes and failures, the good, the bad, and the ugly…I was able to create a small empire. I was able to develop into a better communicator and networker. I was able to travel the world and inspire people. I was able to become financially free and have the time freedom I’ve always dreamed of. I’m grateful for the friendships, relationships, businesses, experiences, and lifestyle I’ve acquired.
It’s not because I’m better, smarter, or more privileged than anyone. It’s not because I came from a better family or had anything handed to me on a silver platter. There are no free handouts in life. You get what you earn and you earn what you are worth. The only difference is that I made a decision…
